Annapurna region is considered to be the most famous and popular trekking destination of Nepal. It has many diversity of the country such as close view of snow capped mountain mid-hill range, Tibetan Plato, hot spring and many more. Trekking through the lowland villages and mountains communities will expose you though the variety of different cultures of the local people.
For moderate trek the trail to the Annapurna Base Camp takes you in to the heart of the great mountains in less than a week.
Annapurna Base camp Trek – Itinerary
Day 01: Arrive at Kathmandu airport:
Transfer to the selected hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 02: Sight-seeing of Kathmandu:
Full day’s sightseeing in Kathmandu valley includes the Hindu temple complex at Pashupatinath (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) & the biggest Buddhist Stupa at Boudhanath. Also visit Monkey Temple the Swyambhunath (2000 years old temple) and visit Patan city of fine arts. Return to the hotel.
Day 03: Drive or fly to Pokhara:
It will be about 6 hour drive by tourist coach or 30 minutes flight. Overnight at hotel
Day 04: Pokhara to Tolka:
Drives to Phedi (30 minutes) and trek up to Dhampus, walking mostly uphill through cultivated fields and local villages… This scenic Gurung Village is inhabited by a mix of people: Gurung, Brahman, Magar communities and it offers a spectacular view of the Himalayan ranges including the Annapurna and Machhapuchhare range after having a lunch in Dhampus continue working to Tolka a nice Gurung village.
Day 05: Tolka to Chhomrong:
Walking through nice terraces to Landruk a beautiful Gurung village provides you a excellent view from Landruk trail continues to Jhinu you can Enjoy a natural hot spring at Jhinu danda from here another hour uphill to Chhomrong. Stay at Chhomrong(2040m) towering above the villages is the mighty peak of Annapurna south, with the Fishtail facing it across the valley.
Day 06: Chhomrong to Dovan:
Walk through the forest of Kuldighar. The track winds steeply up through deep bamboo and rhododendron forest to the village of Dovan.
Day 07: Dovan to Machhapuchre Base Camp:
A trek of the narrow Modi khola valley will bring you almost to the base of the M.B.C. Here you will spend a day gazing away at the snow covered peaks above and the beauty of the landscape around.
Day 08: Machhapuchre Base Camp to Annapurna Base Camp:
Early morning working to A.B.C. where you stand in the century, the 360 degree views are breathtaking, Although clouds roll in early, the curtain often lifts at sunset to rival radiant, glowing peaks Dovan to Chhomrong: Trek back to Chhomrong.
Day 09: Chhomrong to Pokhara: Working through a flat level after an hour climb down to Kimrong Khola and start ascending you will work through rhododendron forest and nice terraces. Having lunch in Ghandruk, an ideal vantage point in this pristine village offers breathtaking views of Annapurna South, Gangapurna, Annapurna III, Machhapuchhare and Hiunchuli, continue working to Birethanti along the terraced fields beneath the splendid panorama of awe-inspiring glaciated Himalayan mountain ranges, from Nayapul drive back to Pokhara.
Day 10: Fly or drive back to Kathmandu: Evening join the farewell dinner with cultural show.
Day 11: Final departure, transfer to airport for your onward destination.
